Abstract

We describe ontological representations of homology mappings between human and mouse craniofacial structures, implemented as part of our Ontology of Craniofacial Development and Malformation (OCDM). The OCDM is being developed in conjunction with the NIH-sponsored FaceBase Consortium, the purpose of which is facilitate understanding and treatment of craniofacial abnormalities by collecting and integrating data from multiple organisms and at levels ranging from genomics to clinical.
