Abstract

Previous attempts at the symbolic representation of anatomical relationships have been largely limited to partonomy. We propose an ontology of anatomical relationships and illustrate the inheritance of structural attributes in the Digital Anatomist Foundational Model. Our purpose is to generate a sharable resource that can support inference about the structural organization of the body.
